    Housing Information
    Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH) gives active service members two options for housing; living on post or finding a home off-post within the community.

    • Once you have orders to move, contact The Housing Services Center (757) 433-3368/3268. They can answer all of your housing questions and provide services such as referrals, resolving tenant-landlord disputes, and guidance for entering lease agreements.

    • Single service members can contact The Unaccompanied Personnel Housing (757) 445-7800 for assistance with room assignment and check-in procedures.

    • NSWC Dam Neck Division on-base housing is through NAS Oceana, which is privatized and managed by Lincoln Military Housing (757) 447-9851/9850. They have a neighborhood designated for the Dam Neck Annex, which offers 3-4 bedroom single family homes based on rank and family size. Home amenities may include fenced yard, washer/dryer hookups, storage shed and carport or garage. The community features playground and basketball court, plus close proximity to Virginia Beach and all its amenities.

    The city of Virginia Beach is the largest in the state. Together with the other major neighboring cities, Hampton Roads is one of the most populated regions in Virginia. Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Norfolk, Hampton, and Newport News make up this historic area.     About the Installation
    Naval Surface Warfare Center Dam Neck Division offers support and training for the Joint National Training Center and the Maritime Integrated Training Capabilities Lab Complex. Dam Neck works in conjunction with NAVSEA to deliver specialized weapons and tools to support the military in their missions worldwide. This base offers engineering solutions and state-of-the-art technologies under the leadership of the Commander, Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center.
